Hakos offers 19 Remote Observatories for long-term rental, 17 with roll roofs, 2 with 3m domes.<\/p>\n

The base area of each observatory measures 2.80 m x 2.80 m and is concreted.\u00a0 The north wall has a height of 2.15 m and the other walls have a height of 1.80 m.\u00a0 The height of the retractable roof is 1.95 m in the south and 2.15 m in the north.\u00a0 Depending on the installed height of the pier, a minimum elevation angle of 20 degrees can be achieved.\u00a0 Internet connection data:\u00a0 25Mb down, 25Mb up (shared). Waltraud Straube<\/strong><\/p>\n

Waltraud was born in Swakopmund\/Namibia and completed her schooling in Windhoek.\u00a0 Her tertiary education took place in Cape Town\/South Africa with a qualification in secretarial studies.\u00a0 Subsequently, Waltraud decided to go abroad, where she worked as a private secretary at the Pfanniwerk in Munich\/Germany for 10 years.\u00a0 Following further studies and training in public relations, naturopathy and homeopathy, she cared for the elderly and severely handicapped people in Vienna\/Austria.\u00a0 In 1998 she returned to Namibia.\u00a0 There she joined her now deceased father Walter Straube<\/a> to run the guest house on the farm Hakos.
Until February 2024, she and Friedhelm managed the guest operation on Hakos.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Friedhelm Hund<\/strong><\/p>\n

Friedhelm was born in Germany and spent his school years there.\u00a0 He then became the head of a software development company, G\u00f6rlitz AG in Koblenz.\u00a0 Since 1990 he has been involved in astronomy and from 1996 he regularly travelled to Southern Africa.\u00a0 As from 2000, Friedhelm partnered with Waltraud and remained permanently on Hakos.Previous knowledge in the field of electrical engineering and system integration enabled him to design, install and support remote observatories.
Until February 2024, he was also the technical manager of the guest farm, looked after the astro-guests, observatories and conducted stargazing tours.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
